Merry Christmas friends!

I wanted to share a gift with you, so I made Star Rising free for a couple of days. If you already have it, maybe tell a friend. Here’s the link on Amazon

I haven’t written as often this year. Sorry about that. It’s been busy, and I got a new website. You know what they say about teaching an old dog new tricks, but maybe I’m getting the hang of it now. If you couldn’t email me or received repeat emails from me, that’s why. I think it looks great though! Here’s the site if you want to check it out. https://www.janetfergusonauthor.com/

Here’s little about my busy year to catch you up. I worked at the Mississippi legislature as usual for three months. Our Capitol is beautiful if you’re ever in the area. There’s often something interesting going on in the lobby.

The rest of my year condensed:

When I finished working, I attended a writers’ retreat in the Fort Walton area. Who could resist? I met a lot of sweet authors and worked on my novel Holding Onto Hope.

After that I helped my daughter pack up and move from Atlanta to Mississippi. We went on vacation to South Dakota. My daughter is passionate about volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of her grandmother, so we did some events for that organization.

I had a 40th high school reunion. Yikes! Time flies. One of my dearest friend’s daughter got married in Atlanta, so we attended that fun wedding. And one of the couples in our small group invited us to go to Branson, Missouri. I loved the butterfly museum and the prayer walk at the College of the Ozarks.

My son went back to college to finish his degree after a long break of working. Yay! My daughter’s car had an issue so I drove her to work for a few weeks. Then she got engaged to a nice gentleman from Atlanta, and we helped her pack up again and move back. Meanwhile, my son injured his shoulder, ended up having surgery, and couldn’t drive his car for several weeks. Guess who drove him to class, ha!

I spoke to a local teacher group and a school in Tennessee via Zoom about writing. My author friend Stephenia McGee signed books at a local Christmas market.

Whew! There was more, but anyway, the point is I hope to have a new novel ready for you in early 2023.

Here are a few pics from the year!

How was your year? How do you celebrate Christmas? What’s on the menu? I need some ideas!

Blessings,

Janet
