Dear friends,
We’ve made it to a new year. I know many of you had extremely difficult circumstances recently, and I’m praying as I write this that you find God’s blessings and healing. The world or life may seem painful and hopeless right now, but God is faithful and good!
Words from 2 Timothy 1 ring through my mind.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

On that positive note, I wanted to share a few good things I discovered from 2021.
TV series: The Chosen
Everyone says there’s nothing good to watch anymore, but here’s a beautiful example of Biblical fiction. I know some people find that to be an oxymoron, but I’ve always found that historical fiction helps me visualize the time period and put myself in the story. That said, always check the facts or the verses 🙂 But this series made me cry so many times with joy. Like when Peter catches a load of fish! I never thought about how amazing that miracle truly was. I bawled. Here’s the trailer.

Music:
Stephany Gretzinger
My husband sent me one of her songs and I couldn’t help but weep, thinking of God’s love for me. I found her on several other joint project songs, “We Dance” and “Sails,” that I ordered on my phone. So beautiful! Here’s the first one he sent me in a video.

My theme song during some hard times this year was Way Maker. A lot of artists have performed it, but here’s one version. God is my Way Maker!! He never stops working! Even when I don’t see it or feel it!

Books:
The Shore of Moses Lake Series by Lisa Wingate, 4-book series. Each book was so different and well written. I couldn’t stop reading! Here’s a link to the first one. https://www.amazon.com/Larkspu…
Trips:
Our family loves to travel, and this year we flew to Jackson, Wyoming. It’s beautiful there. While I’m normally beach girl, I was so inspired by the landscape, I plan to send the characters from my next story on a journey there!
