Questions for The Art of Rivers

  1. Which character’s childhood experience connects more with your own? Rivers, Jordan, Star, or Cooper?
  2. Did a particular scene in the book stand out to you?
  3. Are there situations you can identify with, if so how?
  4. Did you learn something about addiction you didn’t know before?
  5. Do you feel your views on addiction have changed as a result of reading this story?
  6. How did you feel about Blake and Star? What major emotion did their story evoke in you as a reader?
  7. At what point in the book did you decide if you liked it or not? What helped you make this decision?
  8. If you could change something about the book, what would it be and why?
  9. Describe what you liked or disliked about the writer’s style?
