Hi friend,

My bio on my the back of my books and on my websites has always mentioned our dog.

( Janet and her husband live in Mississippi where they say y’all a lot, and she forces him to visit the beach as often as possible. They  have two grown children, one really smart dog, and a cat that allows them to share the space.)

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Remi dog about three weeks ago. We were broken hearted. It seems like puppies don’t get to stay with us long enough.

Yet, we were thankful for for over 15 years with her. There were so many reasons to be thankful. She loved all people. She loved other dogs. She tolerated the hosts of stray cats we adopted over the years. She came housebroken as a puppy! She never growled and rarely barked. She was our walking buddy until arthritis only allowed short walks. Isn’t it amazing that God gave us such amazing animals as companions?

So we thank Him for the gift of our time with Remi. Here are a few pictures.

We will miss her. She was the second fabulous dog that was a part of our lives. The other was a fantastic full-size collie named Matsie. I believe I’ll see them again, maybe with a slew of cats 🙂

I’m not sure I can commit to another dog, at least any time soon.

Do you have an animal buddy? I would love to hear about him or her.

Also, let me know if I can pray for you. The holidays can be joyous, but I know they can be hard too.

Hugs and blessing,

Janet
