Happy Summer, friends!
Have you been on vacation? I’d love to hear about it!

Recently, our church had a sermon series on Heaven. It was so inspiring, my little small group of ladies I meet with decided to
continue learning more. We bought Randy Alcorn’s book on Heaven and the video series to go along with it.

The descriptions in Revelation 21-22 are absolutely beautiful. Check out those chapters!
“It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great,
high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates.”

Mr. Alcorn’s books are enlightening as well. (I loved his novel Safely Home, by the way!!) It’s comforting to learn more and to think of my mother and father being in such a place.
The apostle Paul says in Philippians 1
“I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ,
which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain
in the body.”

We all have people we miss. We fear diseases and accidents, but as Christians, we have hope that surpasses all understanding!

I love the C.S. Lewis quote:
If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for
another world.
Are you learning anything new, lately? I would love to hear about it.
If you would like a link to the lessons at my church on Heaven, just let me know.

Blessings in Him,
Janet W. Ferguson
